Terms & Conditions

• Eligibility:

  • Open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years and over.

  • Entrants must be following all partners social media accounts (Whakatane Council, Air Chathams, Ohope Beach Motel)

  • Employees of Whakatāne District Council, Air Chathams, Ōhope Beach Motel, and associated partners are not eligible to enter.

• Entry:

  • To enter, complete the entry form on this page and submit before the closing date.

  • Only one entry per person will be accepted.

• Prize Details:

  • Return flights for two people from Auckland to Whakatāne with Air Chathams.

  • Two nights’ accommodation at Ōhope Beach Motel.

  • Rental car for the duration of the stay.

  • Double pass to the Local Wild Food Festival 2026.

  • Prize is valid only for the festival weekend Friday, 20 - Sunday, 23 February 2026.

• Winner Selection:

  • The winner will be drawn at random and notified via email or phone within 24 hours.

  • If the winner cannot be contacted within 2 days, a new winner will be drawn.

• General Conditions:

  • Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Flights and accommodation are subject to availability.

  • The winner is responsible for any additional expenses not specified in the prize (e.g., meals, insurance).

  • All promoters reserve the right to remove invalid entries at any time and/or to not award the prize to any invalid entry.

  • All promoters reserve the right at any time to disqualify any entrant who does not comply strictly with these Terms and Conditions.

  • All promoters reserve the right to vary or terminate this competition without notice at any time.

  • Any personal information provided by entrants to this competition may be held by all promoters. All promoters may use the personal information provided by entrants, including the entrants’ names and contact details, for the purposes outlined in these terms and conditions to administer the competition, and if the entrant has indicated that it wishes to receive future promotional communications from all promoters, carrying out marketing research and promotional activities including, without limitation, sending newsletters or publications and/or other marketing and promotional material to the entrant about competitions or promotional events.

  • All promoters of the competition reserve the right, at any time, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and entrants’ details. If a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by promoters to validate their entry, the Winner will forfeit the Prize in whole and no substitute will be provided.

  • All promoters will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence or wilful misconduct) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using any prize (or recommendation), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

  • All promoters may disqualify any participant who fails to comply with these terms and conditions, manipulates the participation process, acts unfairly, dishonestly, or unlawfully or who tries to influence the Competition by disruption, harassment, annoyance of employees or representatives of us or other participants, even if the basis for disqualification is only determined after the date on which the winner is selected.

  • Should any provision of these terms and conditions be held to be unenforceable, such provision will be deemed severed from these terms and conditions without affecting the enforceability or validity of the remaining provisions which shall continue in full force and effect.

  • By entering this competition, if selected as the winner, you consent to being photographed and featured on social media for the promoters' marketing purposes.

• Air Chathams Conditions:

  • The Winners must email: marketing@airchathams.co.nz to make a prize flight booking. To be redeemed on Air Chathams-operated flights only. The flights prize includes taxes, but does not include travel insurance, passports, visas or any other costs of a personal nature.

  • The winners and their companion must travel together on the same booking. The prizes must be used in one transaction.

  • Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the customer and their companion. Travel is subject to Air Chathams General Conditions of Carriage.

  • Airfare tickets are not transferrable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or other goods or services.

  • There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once tickets are issued. Travel must be booked and travelled before 20 February 2026.

  • Each passenger is allocated one 23kg checked in piece of luggage, one 7kg carry-on piece of luggage and one personal item (handbag or briefcase).

  • The flight itinerary includes return travel from Auckland to Whakatane only.
